The main objectives of the symposium are to share the latest research results, to exchange ideas and to boost the cooperative relations among chemical engineers, chemists, and materials scientists and engineers of the two countries. The scope of the symposium will cover all aspects of materials researches in chemical engineering, chemistry and materials science and engineering. Chinho Park, Symposium Chair Call for Papers The symposium consists of oral and poster presentations. Contributing author s are requested to submit a one-page pdf-formatted abstract that includes th e title of paper, author(s) and e-mail address of the corresponding author, and affiliations. The extended abstract should be submitted to Prof. Akihisa Shioi by e-mail (ashioi@mail.doshisha.ac.jp) with notifying the author’s p reference on the presentation style, oral or poster. Tentatively, the abstra ct should be received no later than July 31, 2010. Authors whose abstract ar e accepted by the scientific committee will be informed by August 15, 2010. Venue The Symposium is to be held in Yeosu（麗水市）, Korea (FYI: http://www.yeosutravel.net/ for Korean or http://jp.yeosu.go.kr/ for Japanese). Yeosu is located on the midpoint of the southern coast of Korea, where the World EXPO2012 is scheduled.
